Where story, song, and soul meet...

The Story We Tell is Who
We Become
Our stories shape what we believe, what we build, and what we think is possible.

What is your Story?
We know stories are powerful, but among the most important are the ones we tell ourselves. However, far too often, those stories are not ones we've written, but rather stories we've been told to believe.
Reclaiming our narrative means finding our authentic voice, which can be a herculean task. But it is worth it.
These pages aim to share, support, and inspire that journey.
Novels
In the Absence of Sirens Book 1: Silence Book 2: Song
Antonia’s whole world is music, but the world does not seem to want hers. Despite accolades and accomplishments, over and over Antonia’s ambitions to sing on the world’s greatest stages are thwarted. Relentless, she quests to fulfill her dreams, even as family, friends, and lovers all fall away. But when she is on the verge of homelessness and poverty, a door opens as the only way forward but contrary to all she’s ever wanted. With no other option, she finally decides to leave behind city lights and high heeled shoes, and instead dons baseball caps and matching sneakers to follow the only door open to her: the wilderness. Now instead of critics and judges, lost loves and homes, the monsters she must face are bears and spider bites, strange men and dead end trails, endless roads and the darkest of nights, all with the hope that somehow she will get to sing in the end. The way is unclear, the future uncertain, with only one star to guide her: Antonia must keep her music alive while searching to find where her voice belongs. She knows there’s a home for it somewhere. But the farther she goes, the louder the surrounding cacophony becomes, threatening to silence her, and her music.
The Air We Sing
Musicals
The Air We Sing tells the story of Josephine Dumont, a young woman struggling to emerge from the shadow of her mother Arielle Dumont, one of the greatest operatic sopranos of her day. Desperate to be seen and heard amidst the fervor and demands of her mother's career, Josie follows suit, determined to prove that she is as capable and worthy as her mother. As she ascends the ranks of the opera world, the pressures of performing and perfection continue to build, stressing cracks of inadequacy and her deeper longing simply to be accepted. As Josie’s rise to grandeur begins to crumble, she must find another way to find the love and acceptance she has craved all along. In doing so, she discovers what it means to truly have a voice and the power it takes to find it.
